About opskd
Important: opskd is an independent website. We're NOT affiliated with Google, Google Play, or any app developers. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
What is opskd?
opskd is an independent Android app research catalog built for people who want to compare app identity, version details, screenshots, developer information, APK source status, and install-readiness notes before leaving for an official listing or download source.
We do not pretend that popularity alone is quality. A useful app page should help you answer practical questions: who publishes the app, what package name it uses, what Android version it requires, whether a direct APK source is available, and what privacy or permission checks deserve attention before installation.
Editorial Process
Each listing combines structured app facts with an editorial install guide. The editorial layer focuses on source transparency, package identity, permission risk, category fit, update freshness, and whether the app solves a clear user problem.
When a listing does not include a verified direct APK file, we say so plainly and show APK metadata instead of disguising an official-store link as a file download. That distinction is part of our quality standard.
How We Review Listings
opskd reviews Android listings from the point of view of a cautious user, not from the point of view of an app promoter. We look at the package name, developer name, official listing URL, privacy policy, public rating signal, update date, screenshots, category fit, and whether the visible claims are specific enough to check. A high rating or a large install count can make an app worth comparing, but it does not automatically make the app safe, current, private, or useful.
Our editorial notes are written to slow down the install decision in a helpful way. They point out what a visitor should verify before leaving opskd: whether the app asks for accounts, cloud sync, location, storage, camera, microphone, chat, in-app purchases, subscriptions, or advertising. When a category has special concerns, such as children's learning apps, file tools, multiplayer games, or productivity software, the review copy calls out the checks that matter most for that category.
What We Do Not Do
opskd does not claim ownership of the apps listed in the catalog. We do not modify Android packages, impersonate developers, hide external destinations, or present a store link as if it were a verified file download. When a page says "APK metadata only," it means the page is a research profile and the visitor should use the official listing or developer source to confirm the current install path.
We also do not sell placement in the catalog as editorial approval. Advertising, analytics, or affiliate-style relationships must not change the basic review standard: package identity, source clarity, privacy posture, and user usefulness come before promotion. If a listing cannot be explained clearly, we would rather show fewer claims than make a confident statement we cannot support.
APK Source Standard
APK information on opskd is intended to make the package visible before you act. A strong listing should expose the package name, version, file size, Android requirement, source status, and integrity information when available.
If a direct APK source is unavailable, the page will point to the official listing and mark the APK status as metadata only. We recommend comparing the package name, developer, version, and permissions before installing any Android app.
Corrections and Updates
App listings can change quickly. Developers update versions, remove features, add subscriptions, or change privacy policies. If you notice outdated package data, broken links, incorrect screenshots, or a listing that should not appear in a category, please contact us with the page URL and the correction needed.
We review correction requests by checking the public source provided by the reporter against the information shown on opskd. Useful reports include the exact page URL, the package name, the field that appears wrong, the corrected value, and a public source such as the official listing, developer site, privacy policy, or support page. We prioritize corrections that affect source identity, safety, copyright, privacy, or whether a visitor might misunderstand what action a page is asking them to take.
Publisher Independence
The publisher of this site is opskd.com. We maintain the catalog as an independent research resource for Android users and do not represent Google, Google Play, or the developers whose apps appear here. Trademarks, icons, screenshots, descriptions, and product names remain the property of their respective owners and are shown only so visitors can identify the listing they are researching.
Advertising may help support the operation of the site, but ads are not part of the editorial review. We do not ask visitors to click ads, we do not label ads as download buttons, and we do not place advertising language inside the install checklist. If an ad, link, or listing ever appears confusing, we want to know so we can correct the page and keep the research path clear.
